📨SoilHood: The NBSOIL Academy launched on World Environment Day
In this issue of the SoilHood newsletter we highlight the official launch of the NBSOIL Project Academy, which brought over 100 participants together. We also check in with a survey, give an overview of some recent activities and provide updates from the project and beyond!
So, sit back, relax and let’s dive into the world of soil together!
The NBSOIL Academy launched on World Environment Day
The NBSOIL Academy was launched on #WorldEnvironmentDay with a webinar organized by our partner Soil Association . Over 100 participants join from around to world to celebrate the Academy launch. The Academy offers comprehensive, free training for current and aspiring soil advisors across Europe, featuring online sessions, practical workshops and a final project. The Academy is a training prototype that aims to empower the next generation of soil advisors to deploy nature-based solutions effectively.

If you already enroled but haven’t received your log in details, please, send us an email at academy@nbsoil.eu and info@synkiria.com.
Join our NBSOIL Academy enthusiasts and complete the first level of Module 1
Some participants of the NBSOIL Academy have already completed Level 1 of Module 1, which focuses on how to regenerate soils in Europe through the implementation of nature-based solutions (NBS). By the end of that level, you’ll be able to define soil health and explain the importance of soil health; give soil advice in any context and conduct soil diagnoses; list the NBS available among the NBSOIL portfolio; provide advice on the adequate NBS to implement; and help advisors make assured soil management decisions.
Fill in our survey on training needs and expectations of soil advisors
If you are providing advice on soil as part of your professional activity or aspire to do so, we are interested in hearing from you. Whether you have completed useful courses or come across inspiring informational material on soil, or if you are struggling to find any useful resources, your input is valuable. Take our survey on the training needs and expectations of soil advisors based in Europe. It will take you about 10 minutes to complete.

Discover the ecological dynamics of water enrichment: Eutrophication.
Eutrophication is the process by which a water body becomes enriched with dissolved nutrients, primarily nitrogen and phosphorus. While it can occur naturally, it is often the result of pollution. Eutrophication may lead to algal blooms, which can deplete oxygen in the water and harm aquatic life.
