Solo Channel Charity Swim - In need of your support

Jean-Michel Dixte, Senior Director EMEA for Brand F&B Development at Hilton Wordlwide, will be fulfilling his childhood dream to swim the English Channel solo on 16th August. Jean-Michel has spent the past 5 months training for the 25 miles open sea swim and having completed several charity challenges before, he is hoping to raise £5,000 for the DM Thomas Foundation.
What inspired me to take on this challenge? Brexit! Just kidding. It has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I am a strong swimmer, love endurance challenges and have always wanted to achieve something extraordinary in my life.
Being a role model to my children is also very important to me. Understanding that with the right training and mindset everything is possible in life. The Channel swim will be a rite of passage, an actual journey into the depth of myself. I will be facing my demons and I am looking forward to accepting them, through a unique emotional experience that will enhance my perspective on life. But I am definitely not looking forward to the cold water...
This is also an opportunity to help a good cause. I chose the DM Thomas Foundation for Young People because as a father, my priority in life is to provide the best to my children so they can have a future, build their own lives with confidence and strong moral values. This is why I believe in DM Thomas Foundation for Young People. The Foundation helps disabled, sick and disadvantaged children to transform their lives. It is a marvellous cause that helps not just children but families and communities as well. It is about making our everyday world a better place where disadvantaged young people can add a bit of happiness into their lives and believe that they too can have a brighter future.
Thank you for your help and support. Any gesture makes a difference.
