Sometimes You Need A Bigger Truck

Recently Hydro International provided storm water treatment systems to a project in Surrey, British Columbia. Seven 1200 mm First Defense High Capacity (FD-4HC) storm water treatment manholes were specified by project engineers ONNI Group and supplied through local distributor Armtec.

The precast structures were pre-assembled locally at Diamond Precast and delivered in a single load. This allowed the contractor to more efficiently manage the site and plan the underground works.

Each unit is supplied ready for installation, only requiring the contractor to place the units as a normal storm water manhole. No additional work or special skills required. All pipe connections are standard grout connections.

The FD-HC can have multiple pipe connection configurations and does not require an inlet pipe at all. It can incorporate a surface grate inlet as the only inlet.

With the integrated internal bypass the FD-HC is ideal for sites that are space constrained.
