The Spiritual Recipe of Success
“Keeping yourself happy is the single most important ingredient in your spiritual recipe to success.”
This is not the traditional recipe. In order to cook your success story, you won’t be needing any new ingredients added into your life. But instead, you’ll have to part with some unhealthy ingredients of your present life, that are stopping you from becoming successful.
Thoughts, Feelings & Behaviour.. It’s a perfect love triangle! It all starts in the mind. Well, the quality of your thoughts is directly proportional to how you feel. And your feelings are directly proportional to your behaviour, so if you wish to achieve anything in life, mastering these three elements of your personality will make the process of becoming successful very pleasant, while improving the overall quality of life as well.
Getting to know about the inner working of your brain is both enlightening and exciting, and once you do, then you can intentionally change or influence your thinking and feeling patterns, and make the most out of your life. Going by cognitive studies, your brain is like an elephant of emotions & intuitions, and being able to ride it always gives you an upper edge in life, no matter, your starting point, your past failures and your weaknesses. By dominating your mind, you will actually be able to evaluate reality more clearly, make better decisions and improve your ability to achieve your goals.
It breaks my heart when I see entrepreneurs with an unhealthy lifestyle, and I wonder how will the health of their start-up be, if they aren’t paying attention to their own physical & mental health. If not your start-up, then you yourself will have to pay for your unhealthy lifestyle sooner or later, making all your success meaningless. So first and foremost, you need to take care of your body. You need to pamper your body the way you pamper your loved ones. Whether it’s catching 10 hours of sleep after a hectic day, or making a salad or fruit bowl all for yourself, just do it!
It breaks my heart when my friends tell me that they could be entrepreneurs but because their jobs give them hassle-free financial security, they continue to work with companies half-heartedly, without being able to find a meaning to their work & life. The reason behind this attitude of people is that they tend to only think of their job as a short-term habit, by doing which all their needs are met, without any pressure like in business. An employee who only waits for the 30th so that he can pay the bills, will not be as productive as an employee who’s learning new skills every day, gaining more knowledge from people smarter than him, and developing a spiritual set of values. And it is not the organization’s duty to help you develop a growth mind set, even though some companies regularly invest in training & developing their staff. But habits are difficult to develop, right? Well, if you focus on building short-term healthy habits that will support your long-term growth plans, there will ample opportunity for you to explore your true potential.
It breaks my heart when people complain. When you blame another person or even yourself, you refuse to take responsibility of your life and get away with it simply by blaming other people, your surroundings, your cat, or even the weather. And have you ever wondered that the solution is not outside - but it is on the inside, so look within, and stop complaining. Instead, start reasoning & improvising today if you’re serious about making it large in life. Even if you have all the knowledge, skills & intellect in the world, in doesn’t matter, if you’re a habitual complainant. One who complains often, is too lazy to take charge of one’s situation, and because the individual gives excuses instead of acting on the right time. What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘Complain’? Pain, dissatisfaction, anger or maybe resentment. The word complain in itself is so negative.
So no matter what your background or educational qualification is, if you’ve decided to get rid of these unhealthy ingredients in your spiritual recipe to success, then the entire world will stand beside you to collaborate with you. It is not a matter of time, but a matter of choice. And the sooner you make that choice, the earlier you’ll get the fruits of success.
