SportsFREQ discs & the 12 Cooper Test
Lesley is a hockey player who plays her main focus for improvement was to increase her C.R.E but improving the other aspects of fitness would still be extremelybeneficial. The main reason her increasing her C.R.E is because she is a midfield player who is expected to cover a lot of the pitch for the entire match.
Lesley performed the 12 Cooper Test, standing long jump, 30m sprint test and the hand-grip dynamometer.
1st Test Results (no discs)
Cooper Test – 2047m
Standing Long Jump – 1.67m
Sprint Tests – 5.22secs
Hand-grip – 38.5
2nd Test Results (with discs)
Cooper Test – 2106m
Standing Long Jump – 1.75m
Sprint Tests – 5.18secs
Hand-grip – 40.6
3rd Test Results (without discs)
Cooper Test – 2184m
Standing Long Jump – 1.77m
Sprint Tests – 5.11secs
Hand-grip – 39.8
As you can see Lesley has improved with each set of tests (apart from the on the hand-grip in the last set). Lesley’s comments
In the 1st set of tests I felt I still needed my inhaler prior to the Cooper Test so I used it, in the final set of tests I didn’t use it and it was great to see that I managed to increase my distance covered without it. It was also pleasing to see that my other aspects of fitness managed to improve. After the 2nd set (with discs) and 3rd set (without discs) my heart rate recovered to normal much quicker.
When the recovery discs were applied I didn’t have a good sleep but the next day I became extremely tired in the afternoon; that night I slept early and all night. The next morning I felt refreshed and felt the benefit of the recovery discs.
