Spotlight #1 : DOCBYTE

Spotlight #1 : DOCBYTE

Proud as a peacock and happy as a clam, we started writing the very first Market Weekly edition.

From now on we endeavour to put a Drebbel Technology Market peculiar innovator under the spotlight. We may drop the ball occasionally and we happily ask your forgiveness already now...that saves time and effort when it happens.

The choice for the first spotlight was an immensely difficult one.

Finally, after intense balancing the pros and the cons for each, we decided to roll the dices...

Docbyte was founded in 2006 by Frederik Rosseel to address the growing need for digital transformation and efficient document management. The company specialises in Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) and digital archiving, providing solutions that enhance business operations through automation and secure digital document management.

The company has been self-funded and self-supporting from the very beginning with no external funding during the 18 years of its existence so far.

The main drivers for Docbyte's business are regulatory compliance and business efficiency. In that sense Frederik and his management team run their own business, maintaining the same highest security and compliance standards, fully audited and certified by external qualified auditors, as they propagate to their customers.

Docbyte ensures compliance and regulatory adherence through several key strategies:

  1. Qualified Electronic Signatures: Provides secure electronic signatures that meet regulatory standards.
  2. Long-term Digital Archiving: Ensures documents are stored securely and in compliance with legal requirements.
  3. Automated Compliance Processes: Utilises APIs to integrate with existing IT systems, automating the validation and preservation of electronic records.
  4. Data Integrity and Security: Employs advanced security measures to protect data from tampering and cyber threats.

If Docbyte needs to be represented in two words, these words definitely are "TRUST" and "INTEGRITY" . They describe the management team as well as what the business is about!

Quote of the week :

“Compliance does not foster innovation, trust does. You can't sustain long-term innovation, for example, in a climate of distrust” (Stephen Covy)

We hope to see you next week for the second Market Weekly Spotlight!
