New partnership deal to build 2GW PV portfolio of solar projects
A 2GW portfolio of solar projects is going ahead, following PPC Group and Mytilineos Energy & Metals’ Cooperation Framework Agreement. The deal is valued around €2 billion, with 90 projects expected to be completed over the next three years across Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Romania.
Petronas and JERA join forces to evaluate CCS value chain
Petronas and JERA will be uniting to assess the total carbon capture and storage (CCS) of the value chain between Japan and Malaysia – specifically whether it’s feasible. Their joint study agreement involves separating and capturing CO2 by JERA in Japan, as well as forming a global network for cross-border transportation and CO2 storage.
Tyra Redevelopment Programme marks milestone after production restart
Following suspension of production in 2019, the Tyra Redevelopment Programme reached a key milestone this March. Gas volumes have begun supplying Denmark and other European markets – now the project awaits a planned upgrade of the field’s facilities in the North Sea, supporting Denmark’s energy security.
Construction management team chosen for $340 million university stadium
The University of South Florida has selected a new construction management team for their huge $340 million project. Manhattan Construction Company, H.J. Russell & Company, and DuCon will work together to build a football stadium featuring an east-west build, devoted student section, open concourse, and more.
Team building at our company retreat
We’ll be holding another company retreat for the UK team at Crewe Hall on 17th May! Attendees will be taking part in some challenging team-building activities, including archery, super slalom and laser clay pigeon shooting, as well as some more relaxing pursuits. Extending borders with our exchange programme
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our USA-UK exchange programme! After working for WRS for one year, and hitting specific recruitment targets, employees will have the opportunity to go across the pond for a week. Plus, they can extend this time into a holiday for themselves afterwards, giving them the chance to explore a new country.
CEO travels to Amsterdam and America
Our CEO, Mark Brown, has become something of a globe-trotter recently! He and the rest of the board went to Amsterdam for a meeting, with a twist: strategic discussions were held aboard the Elena vessel, provided to us by @Geoquip Marine. He also recently touched down in America, where he’ll be spending a couple of weeks connecting with the US team.

Our Quarterly Lunch Clubs give our top performers the chance to celebrate their hard work with a venue of their choice, and an early finish. In the US, Sam Paish and Samuel Kippen celebrated their achievements with a sea view at Salt Shack On The Bay and Hula Bay Club. Cheers to that!

We went to CIBO in Manchester, then headed for a game of crazy pool at Roxy Ballroom. This was a chance for our dedicated team to relax and wind down after a busy quarter.
