Webinar on May 10th: Green Business Transformation and the role of LCA
Our world is changing and businesses need to change with it. Merely changing is not enough, they need to transform in order to become green. Making a traditional business Nature Positive is obviously a gigantic task to take on, so we wanted to do our little part and offer some help in the form of a webinar. When we were planning the content, our keynote speakers Arjan Rensma and Daniel Collado-Ruiz came up with the metaphor “Rise from the ashes like a Green Phoenix or go extinct like a brown Dodo. Arjan just might make a reference to the colors green and brown in a certain context in his keynote.
To learn about how to transform a business into becoming greener and about what role LCA plays in such a transformation, tune in to our #webinar on May 10th at 9:00 CET. Register here
Arjan Rensma , the founder of Sustainnovate Today, has extensive experience in transforming businesses to become more green. Daniel Collado-Ruiz is an Environmental entrepreneur and co-founder of LCA software company Earthster . So these gentlemen really know what they are talking about, you don’t want to miss it… oh and please tell your friends too. It is on the internet so there is room for everyone. And yes it is free of charge as always.
Build your LCA competence
Most companies will need to conduct LCA’s in the near future and we believe there will be a need for millions of people with LCA competence globally. Just imagine how many people there are today with Finance competence, for example. So how do we add LCA competence to your team? Our approach is, at least for now, quite unique and very effective. You might have heard it but as this is our first newsletter, here it is:
We start by finding you the right person, if you need to recruit someone. We can also train someone who already works for your company. When we know who will participate, then he or she will join our next program. It starts with two weeks of very intensive academic-level online training by world leading LCA professionals. After that the fun starts: An 8-week LCA project that the trainees do with support from our staff and professors. There will be problems in each of those projects, because real life is messy, and we will overcome those together. That is what makes the learning experience so great. Everyone will learn not only from their own questions & answers but also from those of others.
Our next program starts already on April 24th 2023. It is too late for us to find a person for your company, but if you want someone from your team (or yourself) to join, then act fast and email poul@environmentalacademy.org
Our Summer Program 2023 starts on June 5th. The LCA project part of the program will be a few weeks longer than normal and go on until September 1st, to allow for some summer holidays when data collection might be a bit slower than normal.
If you are looking for a job or an #internship doing LCA, then please register on our web page.

LCA for decision makers
OK so this is one of those startup things where we talk about something that doesn't really exist yet… but we hope soon it will.
Some of you have asked if we could provide a sort of high level introductory training to Environmental LCA. For those people who need to understand it to some extent but who will not really be doing LCA’s themselves. People like CEO’s or R&D leads for green businesses or sustainability leaders of soon-to-be green businesses. Or just whoever is interested but cannot join a 2+8 week program. Well, we hear you!
So, back to the startup thinking: As soon as we get a few people who commit to actually attending that training, we will create it. We have planned it already, so we are almost there. You can check out this video where our Co-founder Tanja Holm - Marketing and Environmental Entrepreneur explains the content. Then just click here to sign up.
Next issue of the Life Cycle Learning Hub
This was the first one and we promise it will not be the last. We have some interesting learning topics and potentially some other news coming up in our next issue which will be released in a month.
Have a nice spring time until then!
