Stay True To Your Purpose: Building Trust, Real Connections And Community Relevancy

Let's be honest, companies have a lot to manage for 2024. Emerging technologies such as AI already proved their path in businesses in various sectors, talents are in the forefront of the workplace environment changes, inflation forces leaders to reduce their budgets and mainly consumers habits has changed, and will continue to, so. These dynamic leaders from world-renowned organizations are driving the business agenda and shaping the way their companies learn, grow and ultimately influence the world around them. My reflection regarding the talent retention is becoming critical, and with the yearly' reductions workforce from some of the biggest technology firms this context will definitely transform the workplace into something very individual. This is why the company values matter more than ever. All retention is not really equal at some point, and what I'm saying is more about how to deal with the individuality and much more the fractional functions that are coming in our way. How to supercharge your effectiveness in uncertainty? Something that I'm sure of is that your personal value will definitely count for every decision you'll take for your career because, no one is you and as we've said for many years now, your current company doesn't define you. You're definitely the unique command of your boat.

Thinking about the CMO position means that you are part of a team, a team that is responsible for all the different facets of the business. Though leading and uncovering marketing insights is a vital piece of the role, CMOs must consider the ways of collaboration with other C-suite members and decision makers to drive impact across the business, not just within the marketing silo and even more related to transformative change. As employers across industries look to weather the economic downturn, it will bring a renewed focus on efficiency, foregrounding this year’s challenges over where, how, and even why we work.

  • People's Trust Is Important

Betting on people's trust is more than ever very important, and with the uncertainty that we're living, let me tell you so many people are accepting that the company loyalty is close to the end. I don't want to scare you but a recent study from Edelman shows that 40% of people say business isn’t trustworthy, and many more don’t believe businesses are living up to their social responsibilities.

  • Real Connections Matters

Connect with people as much as you can in similar roles or industries, and get a feel for what working in that specific field is like, and what you should look out for. Maintain connections with intention and continue to uplift your skills. Stay connected to your sector and how the industries are coming in your way.

  • Community Relevancy

While the market will continue to move it's definitely the time to recalibrate who you're to support your professional values. I'm sure, most of the people who will make this consideration relevant will gain the most reward. No one will arm you except yourself with most-demand knowledge is always the best way to be up to date and relevant in your field. Community relevancy is a must. Take notes on realizing that now than ever your unique advantage as human beings lies in your individuality. Should I open the conversation on personal brand? Not a trend, definitely not, but your paramount, especially in today's fast-ever changing landscape environment. Probably my next piece for the upcoming letters, but let's finish here for now.
