We won 'Vulnerable Customer Strategy of the Year'

We're delighted our ongoing commitment to providing an inclusive service supporting those in vulnerable circumstances has been recognised at the 2024 Credit Strategy awards. Our clients are at the heart of everything we do, and we are thrilled this prestigious award recognises this.

Credit Week and our new 5 year strategy

We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to visit our stand and for feeding into our new five-year strategy. We’re delighted our very own Vikki Brownridge and Vanessa Northam were both panellists sharing their expertise in supporting vulnerable consumers and discussing housing affordability.

2024 General Election: Our manifesto asks

With the announcement of a general election on 4 July, we are asking all political parties to commit to delivering improvements to help those in financial difficulty. We’ve focused on four specific areas we know are causing harm. Find out more

Introducing our summer campaign ‘Get Credit Confidence’

As consumer borrowing increases and the use of Buy Now Pay Later products quadruples across the UK, our summer activity focuses on helping consumers understand the fundamentals surrounding credit and borrowing, in turn raising awareness of the support available through StepChange.

From 15 July, we will be sharing educational content on our social channels.

Introducing our new Chief Operating Officer, Martin Clift

Martin's wealth of contact centre experience will be crucial to the implementation of our digital transformation projects, in particular our back office optimisation programme, and the delivery of our 2025-30 strategy. Read more about Martin's appointment from our CEO Vikki.

1 in 2 private renters struggling to pay bills as rents rise

Our Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Research, Peter Tutton responds to our latest YouGov polling from private tenants and talks about the protections needed in the Private Rental Sector. Read Peter's full response here.

Council Tax collections reform urgently needed: Council tax debt reaches £6 billion

Outdated collections practices continue to cause further harm to the most financially vulnerable, as debts are quickly enforced through bailiff action and deductions from benefits. As arrears rise, more households are put at risk of harm. Our latest YouGov polling shows the public backs a fairer collections approach. Read our polling results and full response here.
