MAKING A DIFFERENCE THROUGH EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT:

As I sit in my little office, I often wonder -  is poverty and human suffering ever going to be eradicated during my lifetime.  A big wish and a very big WISH. I wish it could be so because I want a fair and just world, where everybody has three meals a day and all children going to school. Knowing that it is just a wish, I often  feel so helpless or hopeless,  that I just want to walk away from it all.  And then  a small still voice whispers when I have these negative thoughts of giving up and says inside me “ Why do you want to walk away, you cannot, can  you not hear the cries of those many African children calling for help. You are the chosen one you have to do something”.   What can I do to help? I am a simple woman with not enough resources to help the many forgotten children. “ Trust me” the small still voice continues, you can do it, nothing is impossible when you set your mind to doing something. Do you want to be happy the small still voice asks? and I say YES. Then I say to the small still voice how can I be happy when there is so much suffering and poverty in the world? Then the small still voice continues to add “ Happiness comes not from what you have but how much you give”. But I have nothing to give, I feel so frustrated because I have nothing to give. You have the small still voice argues further. I stop,  ponder and I   agree, - I can pay school fees for one child or two but that is not enough. The problem is big I tell the small still voice. Good says the small still voice, at least you are doing something. One child at a time is good enough. And the still small voice goes further to say:

“The world has got billions of people and some do not know what to do with their money. Ask them to give you some”. Where do I find these people ?  - in the world replies the small still voice. I laugh kkkkkkk - I continue to laugh kkkkkk. The small still voice gets sharp with me - why are you laughing? Do you know how difficult it is to ask people of the world, I  tell the small still voice. ? It is pride which stops you from asking, says the still small voice.. Mhee I sigh- yes I think you are right - pride stops us from doing what we are supposed to do. I must learn to be humble, and try to approach as many people as I can. Yes, I can do it. Then I can be in a position to help our forgotten children. Thank you - What do I call you Mr or Ms still voice. I am neither He or She, I am who I am,  says the small still voice.  “Let me tell you one important thing, before I go -   there is an ancient saying which says “woman is the home and the home is the basis of a society. It is as we build our homes that we can build a country, a nation then a world. If the home is inadequate - either inadequate in material goods, in health, necessities or inadequate in the sort of friendly, loving atmosphere, well fed,  that every child needs to grow and develop- then that country cannot have harmony and no country which does not have the basic necessities of its citizens and harmony can grow in any direction at all. Most countries are failing to meet this standard because of one word -greediness.

That is why education especially for women is very important in the world not only in third world. That is why you must not give up - keep on asking says the small still voice.  Keep on asking and someone out there will hear you”.

I get it small still voice and thank you.

Dear good citizens of the world, I have been send by  small still voice to tell you that,  there is vital work to be done, work that cannot wait, work that I must do. I call on you great citizens of the world, this is a noble cause, I believe we can, we must create a better world and work for our forgotten children. We can achieve our goals if together we set our minds and give that one off £2, £5 or even £10 to making a difference in the world. Go to our website and donate: www.ndorocc.org.uk

Ndoro Children’s charities has started some great work and with your assistance we can do it.  We aim to equip our future generations with skills that will give them tools to be able to be masters of their destiny. What we want to do is to make a better world and leave a better world, and for that we have to see Africa’s problems in the perspective of the larger world problems. And it is only through Education For Sustainable Development that we can eradicate poverty in massive margins. We can stop our children crossing the treacherous seas and oceans. Africa is the paradise, and it has got all the resources we need.

Please join us on this journey and leave your foot print for doing good. Thank you.
