Story of a Turnaround!
Here is a short summary of my key learnings in 5 Days extensive Lean Advanced Program @Philips Lighting.
As a team, we were the lowest scored one at the first day of program and then we finished as 1st Team. How we managed this turnaround?
We created our Value Stream Mapping to ensure E2E process enable us to meet expectations of our customers, applied 5W,1H for concerns to understand rootcauses, implemented more than 25 Kaizens, fixed almost 20 near misses, reflected more than 20 one point lessons, followed 14 principles of TOYOTA Way. These were the base of our success and I’m sure that almost all of 3 teams applied these methodologies.
However what brought the success is hidden in the spirit of our team.
- We respected and listened each other
- Took ownership of our mistakes and learnt from them
- Keep focused and looked for ways to improve
- Recognized all the efforts and achievements
- Get fun together and enjoyed the journey itself
Eventually this become the recipe of our success and we ended the program as winner even game changer!
