-Strength for Today- "Be Still!"-Psalm 46:10.
No matter what your struggle might be, God desires to journey with you in it. He’s:
- All-powerful, and is in
- Complete control,
And most of all, He loves you. We’ve all delved in situations that seemed worse that we could bear. But we’ve found over the years, that when we, “lean not unto your own understanding,” but focus on Jesus Christ and His providential care, we won’t stumble, if only we’ll just be still.
Being still means that you're "spiritually awake,” and have “stop fearing,” but are now acknowledging God for who He is. What once appeared be a hopeless situation, because of faith in Jesus Christ, is now wrapped in “hope,” and “comfort.”
So, if you feel as though you’re in a horrendous situation, “be still” before the Lord. Seek Him in:
- Prayer and
- Faithfully wait for
- His will to unfold before you.
I say this because “faith” and “prayer”, linked together is the communicable “life-line,” that connects us to God. That combination is like a nursing baby, from which we all get our “spiritual nourishments.”
Faith prepares us to wait, because there’re things that we can do, and there’re things we need to know. But right now, we all belong where we are. And the more we rely on our connection with God, through Jesus Christ, the more we get to be God’s person here and now, even in what appears to be hopeless situations.
So, if you feel as though you’re in a horrendous situation, “be still” before the Lord. Seek Him in:
- Prayer and
- Faithfully wait for His will to unfold before you.
You've heard that "all things work together for good" countless times. So, why do you still feel so unfulfilled? Taken in its full context, Romans 8:28 contains a beautiful promise for you. The key to making this real, is to
- Love God,
- Wait, and
Live life, according to His purpose, not yours. Because when you surrender your hopes, dreams, and plans to God and truly let Him lead you, He’ll cause everything in your life:
- The good,
- The bad, and
- The bittersweet
To work toward His ultimate plan for you!
Stand Still (Until His Will Is Clear)
What do I do when I don't know what to do, what do I say, when I don't know what to say, where do I turn, what are the answers to those questions that seem to have no answers.
What do I do, when I don't know what to do? What would you have me to say Lord each and everyday Lord, when I don't know what to say, where do I turn, what are the answers, what are the answers to those questions Lord, that seem to have no answer, oh, oh, oh, I'll stand still, until, your will is clear to me, I'll just stand still until you fill in the missing pieces
