Stronger together: put your money where your mouth is.

What a year it has been… setting up my own company BLOWW BV end of June 2019. Then joining Business Markers in July for a long and exciting summer; getting to know the team, learning tremendously from their expertise and experience, while networking to better understand the clients’ challenges and how we can help them grow³. The real action started Q4, joining partners to co-host their client sessions and then quickly leading my own clients’ workshops. What a boost to see how my 20 years of international commercial & legal experience can provide new insights, answers and solutions to the clients’ business challenges and actually lead them to new partnerships and generate extra sales. In return, it was really exciting to meet an array of interesting new people, learn from their experience and get first hand new market/sector insights. 1+1=3…

After a promising start of 2020, we were all hit by COVID-19. I too questioned and doubted but fortunately found support at home and from the other Business Markers / BuMa bears. Some companies sadly closed, others panicked. Luckily many entrepreneurs and managers stood up, rolled up their sleeves and decided to use the “extra time” to make their business more future proof. These strategic action plans clearly provide(d) direction, focus and more chance of survival and success.

Notwithstanding the signs of a second storm ahead, I decided to go all-in this week “feel the fear and do it anyway...great things never came from comfort zones”, and this for 3 main reasons:

1)    the “S” in the Business Markers CARES values stands for stronger together: myself with the Business Markers partners and with our clients, 1+1+1=4;

2)    the thrill of working together on creative and actionable growth solutions for a wide variety of companies and their worldwide business challenges; and

3)    … it’s fun! Yes, while working on companies’ future is serious for the shareholders, directors, managers, employees, … for us all as a society, it is such a joy to give and get a positive energy boost every day! Hey, we are all human after all.

Thanks for the support and belief in the past year(s) to Evi, my daughters, family & friends, Business Markers partners, colleagues and clients.

We don’t know what the future will bring, but the best way to predict the future is to create it together!
