"The strongest transmission variant arrives" WHO panics, a new wave of epidemics sets off a tsunami!

The World Health Organization, which has been quiet for a long time, once again issued a warning! Covid-19 cases are currently surging around the world as Omicron's ultra-contagious BA.

In a press conference on July 12, a WHO spokesperson said that the sub-variants of Omicron, BA.4 and BA.5, are causing a global rebound in the epidemic, with rising cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. .

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus told an online news conference in Geneva, Switzerland: "The new coronavirus is spreading freely, and countries are not taking enough measures at the moment!"

He added: "The arrival of a new variant epidemic shows that the covid-19 is far from over!"

It took only a few months for Omicron BA.5 to go from an African-specific variant to the current major strain in major countries around the world.

Almost at the same time, CNN's front page headlines also changed -

"The most contagious variant has arrived!"

Two and a half years after the epidemic began, people once again saw the most contagious and transmissible variants to date.

The headline the year before last was Delta, and last year's headline was Omicron, but BA.5 is far more terrifying than both! The covid-19 is really evolving.

According to the US CDC data, Omicron BA.5 has become the main strain in the United States, accounting for 65% of new cases last week, and this week according to reliable sources, it has risen to 80%.

However, the detection of the data is insufficient, making it impossible for people to monitor the trend of BA.5.

Experts believe that there may be as many as 1 million infections per day in the United States, which is 10 times higher than the official count of 100,000!

As soon as the report came out, all those who gave up epidemic prevention early became nervous.

At this time, Fauci, the White House epidemiologist who had been in bed for a month because of the infection with the covid-19, appeared in front of people again, calling on everyone to wear masks again.

He told people in a hoarse voice that had just recovered from a serious illness: "We must take BA.5 seriously, it can really escape 100% of the resistance generated by previous infections."

"BA.5 has an overwhelming spread advantage over the previous variant."

"I'm not forcing you, but I'm calling on people to wear masks indoors."

"Such a simple thing can help us prevent a lot of problems from happening."

Dr. Ashish Jha, a new coronavirus expert, also said that many people were infected with the covid-19 BA.1 in the wave in January, but the antibodies produced at that time were completely impossible to fight against BA.5.

So don't be careless!

"If you've had BA.1, you really don't have any protection against BA4/5," Fauci noted.

As if confirming the concerns of the WHO, cases around the world are indeed increasing rapidly under the invasion of BA.5.

Based on data analysis, UBC's BC modeling team said that British Columbia is in the midst of a new wave of epidemics caused by the worst variant, BA.5!

Hospitalization rates across the province are experiencing a V-shaped rise, especially for those over 70, who are facing an even bigger crisis.

It is expected that next month, more people will be infected and hospitalized. After all, in the face of BA.5, it is useless to have antibodies.

Sarah Otto, a biomedical expert at UBC, said: "In the next 1-2 months, we will see more covid-19 patients pouring into the hospital and the death rate will increase. We know what works to prevent it: wear a mask, wear an N95 wear masks, increase ventilation, and try to attend gatherings outdoors.”

"If you didn't get the third shot, go get it, don't wait for Omicron's special shot, just get that one next shot."

Today, all of Canada is in the midst of a seventh wave of the tsunami.

The National Advisory Council on Immunization of Canada (NACI) has also issued new guidelines recommending that everyone get a fourth dose of the vaccine this fall.

Today, the front-line medical staff is still very short. Once the hospitalization rate of the covid-19 soars, the consequences will affect the whole body like a butterfly effect.

People are infected with the covid-19 in large numbers, hospitalized, using medical resources, medical staff are in short supply, and other deadly diseases cannot be treated.

On July 12, Mr.J was in the emergency room of a Nova Scotia hospital waiting to be treated. The entire emergency room was full, and there was a patient in a wheelchair next to him who looked visibly unwell.

An hour later, a nurse and wheelchair patient finally checked.

After a while, the patient lost his breath.

Afterwards, although they activated codeblue (codeblue), the patient was not rescued, and he was in the emergency room, waiting to die.

Australia and New Zealand suspend the unblocking and restart the mask order!

Today, both Australia and New Zealand have escalated the covid-19 epidemic. It is winter there, and the rebound of the epidemic is even more tragic.

Now, Australia's health minister has ordered people to wear masks indoors and work from home.

New Zealand's health minister even turned on the covid-19 orange mode, making New Zealanders must wear masks indoors.

After unblocking for so long, Australia and New Zealand are the first countries to put masks back on, but they should not be the last.

Some time ago, a study proved that BA.5 has the ability to infect people with the covid-19 once a month. Faced with such a strong variant, we must protect ourselves and our families, and it is not difficult to wear masks again.
