Summertime Stories: An East Coast tour, celebrating our team members, and more

Here are three highlights you’ll find in this quarter's newsletter -- a tour that is not your typical airline trip, an insider's look at #Piedmont team members, and some of Piedmont's programs that are making a difference.

Runway Review

Eligible pilots can earn $175,000 in bonuses their first year at Piedmont. Early September saw the announcement of a $100,000 Direct Entry Captain (DEC) and $75,000 High Time First Officer (HTFO) experience bonus extension through December 31, a $50,000 type rating bonus, as well a $25,000 referral bonus for DECs and HTFOs. We want to reward experienced and dedicated pilots who are ready to transform their careers with Piedmont Airlines.

Kicking off on #NationalAviationDay and through the end of August, Piedmont launched an inaugural East Coast Tour to promote our aviation careers. We visited 10 locations, engaged with thousands of students and aviation enthusiasts, and collaborated with several organizations and partnerships to promote the experience beyond a career that Piedmont offers.

This summer, Piedmont donated a retired DeHavilland Dash-8 aircraft engine to Polytech School of Aviation Maintenance in Dover, Delaware. "We take great pride in donating an engine to Polytech School of Aviation Maintenance, knowing that it will serve as more than just a piece of equipment. It symbolizes our commitment to excellence and our desire to invest in career training in the communities in which we live and work," commented Piedmont CEO Eric Morgan.
