Is Sunday The Christian Sabbath?

Should Christians keep the Sabbath today? In this video, you will discover the truth about the Bible Sabbath. The Sabbath will be a critical issue in end-time Bible prophecy, and is one of the most controversial topics in the Christian world. Exactly when is the Bible Sabbath – Saturday or Sunday? Was the Sabbath given specifically for the Jews? What did Jesus and the apostles teach about the Sabbath? How does the Sabbath affect you personally? You will notice that this commandment, which tells us to keep the Sabbath day holy, is the only one of the 10 commandments that begins with the word “remember”. Perhaps this is because God knew that this is one commandment that we would forget. You owe it to yourself and your family to understand this bombshell topic – the Sabbath!

"And he shall speak great words against the most High, ...and think to change times and laws:" Daniel 7:25

Who changed the seventh day Sabbath to Sunday the first day of week?

These quotes below will give you a clue.....

"The authority of the church could therefore not be bound to the authority of the Scriptures, because the Church had changed the Sabbath into Sunday, not by command of Christ, but by its own authority." Canon and Tradition, p. 263

"Is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." -James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers (1917 ed.), pp. 72, 73.

"The Catholic church," declared Cardinal Gibbons, "by virtue of her divine mission changed the day from Saturday to Sunday." Catholic Mirror Sept. 23 1983. (Official organ of Cardinal Gibbons)

Question - Which is the Sabbath day?

Answer - Saturday is the Sabbath day.

Question - Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?

Answer - We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church, in the Council of Laodicea (A.D. 364), transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd ed.

"The Bible says, Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day. The Catholic church says, No! By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day, and command you to keep the first day of the week. And lo, the entire civilized world bows down in reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic church!" Father Enright, C.S.S.R. of the Redemptoral College, Kansas City, History of the Sabbath, p. 802

"Sunday is a Catholic institution and its claim to observance can be defended only on Catholic principles .... From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first." (Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August, 1990.)

You may be wondering why it is so important that we keep the Sabbath? The importance of the Sabbath has to deal with "who we will choose to obey." The Lord commands that we worship Him on the Sabbath. The Devil under the authority of the Roman Catholic church says we should worship on Sunday. I ask, "Why is the devil attacking the Sabbath?"

The Bible speaks of a mark that will be enforced directly before the second coming of Jesus Christ. The word "MARK" as it is expounded upon in the "American Heritage Electronic Thesaurus" comes with numerous variations to the word. For example, the words, "evidence, sign, witness, symbol, indicator, stamp, token, signification, label, seal, brand, and imprint" can all be used alternatively just as easy.

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16,17

If you receive the "mark" by choice, this means you've been marked in the forehead. If you're forced to receive the mark, it will be that you're marked "in the right hand." But REMEMBER, "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." Matthew 16:25

When it comes to the mark of the beast. Without realizing, the Catholic church makes both a prophetic and blasphemous boast as well as undeniable LINK by the following confessions.

"Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change (Saturday Sabbath to Sunday) was her act... And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things." H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons.

"Sunday is our MARK or authority. . .the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact" Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1,1923.

So, if the prophecy is correct in saying that Sunday keeping is acceptance of the authoritative MARK OF THE BEAST. And the Scriptures verify that God says... "my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations" Exodus 31:18

We now have Scriptural facts the Sabbath is God's sign, seal, and mark. And Sunday is the "sign, seal, or mark of the beast. So...What's next...? The devil will need to get people to worship as he stipulates so he can enforce his mark of authority.
