Surround yourself with women who would mention your name in a room full of opportunities.

Surround yourself with women who would mention your name in a room full of opportunities.

(EN) As a woman, there is nothing more empowering than surrounding yourself with other women who support and uplift you. This sentiment is beautifully captured in the quote, "Surround yourself with women who would mention your name in a room full of opportunities." It speaks to the importance of building a strong #network of female allies who will champion you and your accomplishments, even in your absence.

At times, it can feel like the world is working against us as women. We are often pitted against each other, competing for the same opportunities and resources. But when we come #together and support one another, we can break down these barriers and create a more equitable and inclusive world.

Having a strong network of female allies can be the difference between success and failure. It means having a group of women who will advocate for you, offer guidance and support, and share their own experiences and knowledge to help you grow.

But how do you go about building this kind of network?

It starts with being intentional about the women you surround yourself with. Seek out women who share your #values and #goals, who inspire you and challenge you to be your best self. Attend networking events, join professional organizations, and connect with women in your industry through social media.

Once you have identified women you admire and respect, be intentional about building relationships with them. Reach out for coffee or lunch, attend events together, and find ways to support each other's goals and aspirations.

But building a strong network isn't just about what you can get from others. It's about being a supportive and uplifting presence for the women in your life as well. Take the time to celebrate their successes, offer encouragement when they face challenges, and be a sounding board when they need to talk through ideas or problems.

In a world that often pits women against each other, building a network of female allies is a radical act of resistance. It's a way of saying that we are stronger together than we are apart, and that we will not be divided or silenced.

So surround yourself with women who would mention your name in a room full of opportunities, and watch as you rise together.

I know there are many more, but to these women who have enabled my success at some point in my life .... Thank you!

¡Gracias!

Sure. Absolutely do that. But also remember that many of us men respect the opportunity to work with women and also don’t hesitate to mention women’s names in a room full of people. So don’t overlook male allies.
