Switzerland suspends customs duties on medical goods

Duty-free import applies to medical protective equipment and other consumables needed to combat coronavirus. These include masks, examination gloves, protective clothing, protective goggles and disinfectants.

The customs tariff numbers of the goods concerned can be found in the Annex to the Ordinance on the temporary suspension of customs duties on medical goods (https://www.newsd.admin.ch/newsd/message/attachments/60920.pdf ).

The Ordinance has been in force since 10 April 2020 and is valid until 9 October 2020. It also applies to private importers.
