“TAKE ME HOME”
Written in collaboration by the REMEDY Sales and Marketing consultants team
Today we had the opportunity to sit in on one of the first lectures in person by our founder.
Our president and founder, as well as our chief executive officer, spoke at a mental health awareness lecture today in South Jersey. He started out by playing this video before he began his lecture.
“I have truly embraced mental awareness and mental health awareness over my lifetime. I was always ashamed to open up to people about it until I learned more. There is an old saying that a smile is only skin deep. And you can really never tell what is going on with someone until you peel back the layers, pay attention and show empathy".....said Stagliano
"There’s a difference between showing empathy to someone and feeling sorry for someone. Let me explain that all to you in as much depth as I possibly can. Like you all, I suffer from mental health illness. Day in and day out, like you, I face similar struggles and obstacles. On Some days, it can be as simple as getting out of bed and on other days it could be remembering what I was supposed to do by lunchtime.
This is not a crutch, my friends. This is not something to be ashamed of or is it something you should be afraid to admit. I cannot begin to sit here in front of you and tell you that I know the answers to fix it. Not only would I be lying to you, but I would be disingenuous. My mental health and my fear in life is to be perceived as Dis ingenuine.
I played this song for you earlier, to explain why I suffer day in a day out and what makes my mental health come to a deafening blast at times. You see, I was always in a position where I needed it to be in leadership. I need to be wanted."
"Take Me Home" by Genesis is a poignant song that explores themes of longing, nostalgia, and the desire for connection. The lyrics express a yearning for a place of comfort and safety, often interpreted as a metaphor for returning to one's roots or a simpler time in life. The song's emotive melody complements the introspective lyrics, creating a sense of yearning and emotional depth.
The protagonist reflects on the journey of life and the importance of having a place to call home, highlighting feelings of solitude and the search for belonging. The song's overall vibe is both reflective and uplifting, resonating with anyone who has experienced similar feelings of homesickness or the desire for a deeper connection with their past.”
Anthony ‘s words moved nearly 100 people in a way that is unexplainable on paper. From glassy eyes to a glimmer grin of hope. His heart felt message resonated with people that he’s never seen before in his life, but with whom he embraced as if he’s known for all of theirs.
Whether it is trying to find your way or even more complex, overthinking every situation and scenario. I want you to all know that it is OK. It is something that you can REMEDY. Don’t be so hard on yourself! Don’t be so hard on the world.
It needs you and it is a better place with you in it!
