Taking on a challenging 10 mile mountain trek through the heart of the Brecon Beacons.

On Tuesday 22nd November, the Aligra Swindon team are taking on a challenging 10 mile upland mountain trek through the heart of the Brecon Beacons. They'll tackle the spectacular Brecon Beacons Horseshoe Ridge route to raise money for an inspirational local charity, Fatboys.

Every year, Fatboys Cancer Charity delivers Christmas gifts to children who are suffering from cancer or other life threatening illnesses. They are a small team of 4 that work in their spare time receiving nominations and buying gifts to hand deliver throughout the UK.

Fatboys Cancer Charity are dedicated to putting a smile on the faces of as many of these brave children as possible, through donations and sponsors.

‘Raising money for charity is something that I am fond of doing, a lot of people are in worse situations than myself, so anything I can do to give back, or spread a bit of happiness I am always keen to do’ - Jordan Bradbury-Newton

The Aligra Swindon team will aim to raise £1000 and are well on their way to meeting their target.

‘When Jordan mentioned to Emily that he wanted to do something for Charity and she brought it to the team, given the time of year I thought about FatBoys straight away, my family have previously ran in the Great North run for them, and have even delivered a present so I know first hand how much happiness these donations bring to the children’ - Luke Robinson

The trek will take around 6 hours, covering approximately 10 miles, the Aligra Swindon team will scale Pen Y Fan (886m) -the highest peak in South Wales.
