What's new with BlocHaus
Welcome back!
Our team has been hard at work, expanding our voice to provide you with even more valuable resources. We've partnered with some visionary CEOs, curated insightful content, and created exciting opportunities for talent in the web3 space. Read on to discover what's new at BlocHaus!
Introducing our Salary Survey: Promoting Fairness and Data-Driven Decision Making
We have an opportunity to make a real impact in the web3 market by promoting fairness and data-driven decision making.
Within many states in the US, the salary history ban has already done much to drive fairness in the talent process. However, both candidates and employers alike don't have access to comprehensive data. This data would be incredibly useful as a candidate when considering salary expectations and for companies who want to attract the best talent and ensure that packages are both fair and competitive.
To address these gaps, we are thrilled to launch our Salary Survey at BlocHaus. This initiative aims to uphold equity while providing valuable data points that benefit all stakeholders involved.
If you are in the Web3 space, then your participation in this survey is crucial in helping us provide companies with better insights and promoting fairness in compensation. With increased transparency, we can eliminate pay disparities, improve negotiating power, and level the playing field for everyone.
Take a few minutes to complete the survey and be part of the movement towards a fairer market.

Addressing the funding gap for female founders... with Bridget Greenwood
I'm delighted to bring you the very first episode of my new podcast Web3 Disruptors! We have Bridget Greenwood, the founder of The Bigger Pie and Co-founder of The 200Bn Club.
Bridget is pioneering for females in the blockchain sector. This episode is jam-packed with information on the importance of diversity in the Web3 space, the crucial role that funding plays in providing startups with the necessary resources to succeed, the bias that female founders face when trying to access said fundraising, and how to overcome it. Bridget shares her thoughts on how investors can recognize their strengths and limitations in diversity, as well as an introduction to the DEIB playbook for Web3!
Web3 Disruptors focuses on highlighting the stories of remarkable women in the Web3 space and providing actionable advice for women interested in entering and thriving within this field. I strongly believe in the transformative power of Web3, and I'm passionate about increasing diversity and representation in decision-making roles within the industry.

What's hot in Blockchain
A new crypto project co-founded by OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman just raised $115 million in additional investment during a series C funding round led by venture capital company Blockchain Capital. The project, Worldcoin, which is currently in beta, has a three part mission: create a global ID, a global currency and app that enables payment, purchases and transfers using it's token - along with other crypto and more traditional assets.
In other news, crypto funding skyrocketed more than 330% in recent weeks, with approximately 16 firms raising over $246 million. While we were excited to see signs of normality, we are certainly not getting ahead of ourselves due to the recent news of SEC suits against Binance and Coinbase. The good news is that Crypto is NOT just about the United States and we are seeing encouraging developments in other parts of the world.
MiCA is now in place, leading the charge and paving the way for other jurisdictions. Wondering what MiCA is? It is short for 'Markets in Crypto-Assets' and is a new regulation by the European Union aimed at providing a legal framework for cryptocurrencies, ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings), and other digital asset-related services. The goal of MiCA is to establish a comprehensive, synchronized set of rules for crypto-assets and related service providers operating within the EU. Clarity brings good news!

1yI'll write up my review in a bit, Ginnette Harvey but I thought your first episode was a tremendous success! You were able to back an amazing amount of information in just a little over half an hour and was extremely educational. Bridget was a great guest (and yes, I'm now following her here) with interesting insights and I'm really looking forward to future episodes. (The episode's website does a remarkably comprehensive job of summarizing the content too so on the off chance you can't listen to the episode, the summary is almost as helpful!)
