Talenteum.com : for a Sustainable Future in Africa

On the occasion of the African Climate Summit, we are delighted to showcase our solution, Talenteum.com.

Talenteum is an innovative digital platform actively encouraging businesses based in America and Europe to fulfill their roles in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development through the employment of talents residing in Africa. Founded on an inclusive vision, Talenteum is building its own community of talents in Africa. To date, our community boasts over 15,000 talents spread across 17 African countries.

Our platform provides businesses struggling to recruit employees within their own countries a unique opportunity: access to a pool of collaborators living in Africa and ready to work remotely.

Central to our technology is the ability for companies and talents to connect, conduct interviews akin to traditional hiring processes, and discuss roles, work conditions, and salaries. If interviews result in mutual agreement, we step in to ensure the collaborator obtains, if desired, an employment contract.

Our priority is to offer a stable contract that dispels precarity, encourages long-term commitment within the collaborator's country, offers local compensation, fosters investment in the home country, facilitates access to bank loans, and supports education for children.

By facilitating access to decent employment and improving working conditions, Talenteum makes a significant impact on the African continent.

Our vision rests on the premise that to genuinely aid Africa, the foremost requirement is to provide opportunities for work and the expression of talents. Talenteum contributes to the financial and economic improvement of graduates, both young and mature, and women, through an accessible digital platform for all. In practice, for an employment contract to be established with a collaborator, a company needs a presence in the collaborator's country. Yet, this is not the case for Talenteum's partner companies.

Therefore, we sign the contract on their behalf, ensuring all legal and social obligations are met in the collaborator's country.

Subsequently, we bill the company the actual cost of the collaborator as if the company were based in Africa, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8 and 10, fostering wealth creation. But how does Talenteum generate revenue? The platform remains free for both talents and companies.

When effective collaboration commences between the two parties, the company subscribes to a monthly subscription for platform use, previously free. This contractual approach, grounded in shared principles, values, and objectives, enables partner companies to generate positive impacts while mitigating negative ones.

By offering employment to a collaborator working in Africa for the company, facilitated by Talenteum, the company aligns with eight of the 17 SDGs defined by the United Nations.

For instance, by enabling a woman to work from home, Talenteum enhances her access to roles matching her level of education and experience, thus contributing to gender parity within the company (SDG #5) and ensuring fair compensation in relation to decent work (SDG #8).

Furthermore, by eliminating daily commutes to workplaces, Talenteum reduces the contribution to climate change stemming from greenhouse gas emissions (SDG #13).

By affording African talents the opportunity to work for foreign companies while remaining in their home countries, Talenteum combats brain drain. Thus, the Talenteum digital platform offers a virtuous solution by facilitating the rise of high-potential talents that bring value to the continent.
