Tall Poppy Central - A smart concept

Last Saturday was not only a fun proud work moment but also important to me for a number of personal reasons.

A month ago we proudly launched Tall Poppy Property management (with Rachael Steinmetz - ex Ray White) as our second brand alongside Tall Poppy Real Estate. This was earlier than expected and we will develop a national offer around this, similar to the wave of house selling we have unleashed.

We Launched our first Tiny House Cafe " Tall Poppy Central "

This amazing piece of construction is intentionally made to provoke discussion around the tough property market and housing issues for regular kiwis.

We do smart things, like not investing in expensive offices so we can keep commissions down and keep money in the back pockets of kiwis. But we are big community investors and participants.... so creating a community connection point, based on a Tiny House, partnering with an amazing respected coffee brand... and committed to providing amazing lovely raw food treats was a big and risky undertaking.

We plan to make these a core part of our community relationship over time.

Businesses rarely have the nuts to roll this kind of investment whilst they are so very busy growing.... but we did.

The opening day was an amazing day.... our ordering and payment APP blew people away, our commitment to special ongoing pricing to all community workers keeping us safe was applauded ( evidence- very happy engaged firemen attendance) and the same for anyone that buys or sells a house with us. #givingback

We still have a bit of evolving, but on the basis of our opening day, it looks like its going to be fantastic.

We also had great chats with the Mayor about our strategy and are now on the housing workforce with local MP Nathan guy and his family equally engaged.

Some people turned up to get a tour of our new age office ( the only one in the country) and view our very own Gabriella Graces' tiny house that was open to the public on site.

It's more personal for me because being born on the coast, leaving at 17 and being away for the thick end of 30 years, bringing the national base of what is planned to be a big company home and chatting to so many people from my childhood was a special feeling of pride. Many of them felt pride as well and that's what it's about for me.

Sermon over.... I hope you guys all get to enjoy our new toy with us, check out our APP #tallpoppycentral

I hear ya!! Even though we have but one company, now that it is fully International it can be such demanding work but oh so amazing!!
