A Heartfelt Thanks for Lifesaving Contributions at the 2023 FLTA Convention Blood Drive

A heartfelt thank you to all the generous donors who made the 2023 FLTA Convention Blood Drive a resounding success! Together, we collected over 50 pints of blood, showcasing the incredible impact our community can have on the lives of others. With vital statistics in mind, such as one pint potentially saving up to three lives, the event underscored the importance of blood donation. Government Affairs Committee Set to Be Hard at Work

While the Florida Legislative Session is not set to officially begin until January 9th, filed Bills are already moving through the chambers and for some, they're at a swift pace. This year we are focused on a couple issues, but also monitoring filed legislation to protect the integrity of the Official Records and the consumer. Here's a short list of some of those bill titles currently filed:

•Title Fraud Prevention

• Title Fraud Prevention Pilot Program

• Public Records/Recording Notification Service

• Public Records/Servicemembers

• Public Records/Military Personnel and their Spouses and Dependents

• Possession of Real Property (Adverse Property)

• Timeshare Properties

• Notaries Public

• Estoppel Certificates

The FLTA Government Affairs Committee meets the second Wednesday of the month and is open to members. These bills will be available on the FLTA Legislative Tracking web page soon. 


The Annual FLTA Legislative Lobby Days is for association members to share industry stories and lobby industry issues with members of the Florida House of Representatives and the Florida Senate. The relationships formed during these days are important to the overall message of moving issues forward through the legislative process to support the land title profession for the protection of property rights and the integrity and security of real estate transactions.

Title Industry of Florida PAC (TIFPAC) is a voluntary and non-partisan organization that serves as a crucial extension of the Florida Land Title Association.
