TapaTalks: the perfect ending to 2023

This month, our TapaTalks was centered around wrapping up the year together. Our incredible co-founder Ksenia Rodionova talked us through the highs and the lows of COP28, to gain a better understanding of the many subjecs discussed during the conference. For example, did you know:

  • This year's COP28 had the highest attendance of representatives from the fossil fuel industry than ever seen before. This begs the question, is this good news or bad?
  • Experts at the conference still speak only of 'phasing down', instead of 'phasing out' fossil fuels. Is it time for a change of language?
  • The UN Secretary-General António Guterres insisted: “Now is the time for maximum ambition and maximum flexibility.” Will corporations comply?

Additionally, we were excited to host guest speaker Clémence Laulan who taught us about the incredible, multi-award winning, vegan chocolate from Pacari. This company excels in its industry by being fair trade, sustainable, and delicious! Clemance was kind enough to include a tasting, and we highly recommend paying a visit to El Corte Inglés in Barcelona to buy yourself and your loved ones this incredible product.

We ended the evening with a sustainable gift swap of unused gifts to allow them a second home, accompanied by live music from Alci Navarro, which was the perfect ending to a perfect evening.

A big thank you to everyone who attended! We hope to see you again during our next TapaTalks in February, at our trusted venue Inusual Project, which will be announced in due course.
