📩 TB Weekly | THANKS!

Thank you, gracias, gràcies!

This is what makes it special. After five editions, it’s clear that Tech Spirit Barcelona has something unique. Maybe it’s how we bring the city’s tech and digital community together every year while drawing curious people from all over the world. Or perhaps it’s the 1,800 minutes of top-tier talks about technology, innovation, startups, and investment. It could be the 600+ meetings between investors and entrepreneurs, or the excitement of the live pitch competition. Or maybe it’s just sharing a coffee, a beer, and a chat about what we love: tech.

While we might need a few days to recover from all that excitement, we couldn’t wait to use this weekly newsletter to share a quick recap of the past two days. Hope you enjoyed Tech Spirit Barcelona 2024 as much as we did!

Esta semana... en el Tech Spirit Barcelona

Recap | This fifth edition was our techiest one yet, with AI, quantum computing, and chips taking center stage. The event brought together over 150 incredible speakers, but the real highlight was you. Despite the heavy rain, we packed la Llotja de Mar, proving once again that this event is the heart of Barcelona’s tech community.

(And it all happened in the same week the EU announced that one of its first 'AI Factories' will be set up in Barcelona, bringing a €200M investment. Plus, 2025 is shaping up to be a game-changer for startups, with the launch of new public funding vehicles on the way)

While we work on uploading all the videos and photos to our website and YouTube channel, here’s a quick look at everything that went down on days one and two.

  • Mateo Valero, Barceloní de l'Any, director del BSC, ponent i, ara, protagonista a l'ARA.
  • AI: How much is truth, how much is bluff?

Enhorabona!

There’s no better way to end this newsletter than by thanking everyone who made this event possible: all of you who joined us, the support from public institutions and our partners, and the incredible work of TB's team, our board members, the production crew, and even journalism students from UAB.Success belongs to everyone.
