Teaching - A reflection of continuous learning
Creativity does not need to be taught. Creativity need to be liberated - John Cleese
It's been a month since I posted an article in this newsletter.
I was in deep reflection about the purpose of this newsletter and how it can add value to people's lives. I started this newsletter and podcast in January 2023 with a focus on systems thinking and its importance for any organization to become a learning organization and serve the customer by adding value to their lives.
After my in-person 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐦 class with Nagesh Sharma , I found that teaching is one of the supreme services we can offer to others.
As Jiddu Krishnamurti says,
Teaching is not merely the imparting of knowledge but the cultivation of an inquiring mind.
The TBR class was an eye-opener for me and helped me discover my inner calling—how to be a better teacher by raising curiosity in learners' minds and creating holistic learning experiences.
When I failed miserably at teaching others, I realized that teaching was not my cup of tea. Those bitter experiences became an aversion for me. However, after attending the TBR class, I realized that teaching is not about the teacher; it is all about the learners. Understanding the brain science behind learning and building psychological safety for learners to explore their inner potential is crucial.
Teaching is an alchemy of mentoring, facilitation, and coaching!
In this revolutionary era of AI, it is not necessary to be an expert. The most important role of any teacher is to be vulnerable and create a space for learners to learn from each other and thrive on their collective intelligence.
Thanks to Nagesh and the other learners for the wonderful learning experience in the TBR class. The 4Cs and 6 trumps are the best things I gained from my TBR class.
If we care about nurturing a holistic learning experience, any teacher should consider the following aspects:

Today is Buddha Poornima, also known as Vesak, which marks the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Buddha, a profound spiritual leader whose teachings continue to resonate across centuries. Celebrated with deep reverence by millions around the globe, this day signifies the timeless values of compassion, wisdom, and inner peace that Buddha embodied.
In the space of modern education, Buddha's teachings offer invaluable insights. His emphasis on mindfulness, ethical conduct, and the pursuit of knowledge aligns seamlessly with contemporary educational goals. By fostering a holistic approach to learning, educators can cultivate not only intellectual growth but also emotional and moral development in students.
I am not an expert in teaching, but my curiosity drives me to decode the art of teaching by exploring various dimensions of meaningful insights through podcasting with great teachers and thought leaders.
My mission is to help us find a better teacher (learner) within ourselves and serve others and our organization with our passion for building an engaging learning environment.
Let's evolve from "information to exformation learning" by discovering the underlying principles of learning within us!
Wishing you all a very Happy Buddha Purnima!
Stay Tuned!
