Tefincon S.A. rehires PricewaterhouseCoopers to perform a 2020 analysis of service and audit NordVPN's no-log policy.
2020 | Tefincon S.A.'s subsidiary, NordVPN, shows why it's the best VPN+ service provider in a competitive field.

Tefincon S.A. rehires PricewaterhouseCoopers to perform a 2020 analysis of service and audit NordVPN's no-log policy.

In 2020, PricewaterhouseCoopers AG Switzerland (“PwC” — one of the world’s best auditing and assurance firms) was rehired by Tefincon S.A. (NordVPN’s parent company) to perform a second independent analysis of service and to audit NordVPN’s no-log policy. However, this second independent analysis of service and evaluation of the no-log policy was much broader and more exhaustive than the first one PwC performed back in November of 2018.

On June 19, 2020, PwC provided Tefincon S.A. with an Assurance Report of the no-log policy audit performed on NordVPN.

Tefincon S.A. asked PwC to agree to Tefincon S.A providing Nord members with an electronic copy of the Independent Assurance Report PwC gave to Tefincon S.A. PwC agreed to that request but on condition that Nord members first accept nine different (limiting) terms.

Nord members have to agree to the terms before being able to access the Assurance Report. The Assurance Report was posted for all Nord members to access this month, July 2020.

If you’re a Nord member and haven’t read the Assurance Report yet then we highly recommend you do. It has a different layout than the last Assurance Report from November 2018.

To access the 2020 Assurance Report just log in to your Nord account and search for the Reports section.

We’d share the Assurance Report itself on here but PwC included a contract that all Nord members must accept if they want to access the Assurance Report. In said contract, under Section 6(i)-(ii), PwC specifically limits Nord members from doing the following with the 2020 Assurance Report:

…“not publish or refer to the Information or its provision” or “…not distribute or allow access to the Information or any other document containing, or derived from, the Information to any other party without PwC’s prior written consent.”

“Information” meaning the Assurance Report itself and the contents found therein. So, legally we cannot share it. Or else we would.

Anyways, it’s a great report and every Nord member should read through it. If you’re not a Nord member but are thinking about becoming one then check out NordVPN’s news blog post regarding the no-logs policy test by clicking on the link below.

While we (Nord members) cannot publish nor refer to the contents found in the Assurance Report, NordVPN (as a subsidiary of Tefincon S.A.) can. So, check it out:
