Ten Years? What About *THIS* Year?
I got an immediate response to the “decade” suggestion.
“Ten years, HC?” That’s what some people call me… “What about this year, heck, what about right now?”
Today is important, but it’s literally right now. Have you heard the saying: The best time to plant a tree was ten years ago? The next best time is today?
That’s because the results of the decisions you made ten years ago are strongly impacting this year. (I know—that sentence stung me a little, too.)
Once you’ve done some thoughtful planning for tn years from now, come right back to today and get back to work on your book.
Even while you’re working on it, you can use it to position yourself an authority.

I’ll see you in ten years (also tomorrow)!
