Thank you for making 2024 amazing!
November might be the month where Thanksgiving falls on the calendar, but December is the time of the year when I make time to reflect and give thanks…and this year I am thankful for YOU!
I am thankful for the people who hired me in hopes that I would inspire their teams. I am thankful from the people who recommended me so I could make connections and build my brand. I am thankful for the team members who let me into their lives (if only for an hour). Mostly I am thankful for all the opportunities to change the world that 2024 provided…thanks to you!
At the start of the year, I established 3 main goals (and I shared them publicly in my February email). Like many of you, I didn’t achieve them all, but I accomplished things I didn’t even dream of 11 months ago.
Here’s a recap:
Writing Goal: Sell 1000 copies of Reimagine Your Work by its launch anniversary in November and create companion workbook - Nope, I didn’t hit 1000, but I am making a push to reach 750 by the end of the year (I’m 713 as of today). I also didn’t make a workbook, but that’s because I decided to put all the tools on my website FOR FREE instead.
Speaking Goal: Complete 20 speaking or training engagement including 1 bulk book order and create a 4-week drip campaign with 2-5 minute videos for each book to support ongoing engagement - Yes Yes Yes! During 2024, I had 20 speaking engagements (4 with bulk book orders) and made guest appearances on 8 podcasts! I also created the video series for Reimagine Your Work so that clients can continue the learning after our session.
Consulting Goal: Identify 2 new clients to engage with in 2024 and establish a charitable giving strategy for the business to support causes that are important to me and my family (likely women and children focused) - Complete! This year, thanks to recommendations from you, I had the chance to provide long-term technical consulting to 3 new clients, bring on a new 1099 teammate, and provide support to the Society of Women Engineers, Dressember/StreetGrace/Rescuing Hope (all of which fight human trafficking), and a local business for adults with disabilities called Rise Coffee and Tea.
Thank you all for helping me Define Success On My Own Terms!
