Thanks for a fantastic 2022 - Nov and Dec 2022
November and December 2022, Edition (#18)
Dear reader,
Cheers to the end of 2022! It’s been a year of growth and firsts at Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India – so much to be thankful for! Within Vertex, November and December were also about strengthening connections and communities. The global Vertex family met for the first time in almost 3 years. Our Israel colleagues hosted the Vertex Global Summit in their beautiful country, where we exchanged ideas, shared updates and put our heads together to think what’s next. We are also proud to host our annual Founders Day in Singapore. Last but not least, Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India received two awards last month, Asiastar 10x10 investor award and Origin Active Community Builder award.
We are excited to announce our first ClimateTech investment into Fairatmos , a supply-side focused carbon credits market platform that aims to democratise access to the carbon markets. Besides climate, diversity, inclusivity and particularly female leadership are also topics close to our hearts at VVSEAI. We have invested in many female founders across our four funds. In a recent interview with Her World, I explored why female-led businesses tend to receive less funding, and gave my views on what we can possibly do about it.
2023 heralds myriad opportunities for us and our portfolio companies as we build upon the strong foundations we have built over the decades. We have many exciting plans in store and can’t wait to share them with you. For now, we wish you a restful year break and best wishes for the new year.
