Thanksgiving FEAST

How to eat like a King for Thanksgiving and not gain a pound

What if I told you that you could consume 3,000 calories for thanksgiving dinner and not going a single pound? In fact, possibly even boost your metabolism and kick start a higher metabolic rate. You may not believe me, but I have used this single tactic every year during the holidays to eat like a king and not deprive myself of all the delicious foods one can imagine.

Feast and Famine Cycling

The feast or famine diet--also called alternate day fasting or multiple day fasting-- isn’t really a new idea but it seems that the mainstream media is finally beginning to catch on.

For the sake Thanksgiving i absolutely plan on diving face first into usually what seems to be 3-4 MASSIVE plates of food. But how am I able to do this and not gain a single pound? In fact, I usually gain some muscle and lose a bit of body fat. The feast-famine diet promises to upregulate metabolic systems while decreasing the overall caloric intake and oxidative stress associated with food intake/digestion.

We as humans our systems evolved to expect periods of scarcity. We weren’t designed for the constant eating, so whoever came up with the myth of eating every 2-3 hours was completely wrong. Couched as healthy “grazing,” that we’re told to practice today is incorrect, we CANNOT burn fat in the presence of insulin. In our society, we’re encouraged to be starting the next meal before the previous one has even been fully absorbed. Our systems rarely, if ever, have the chance to return to zero. Fasting allows for that resetting.

So here is the method to the madness. Thanksgiving is 2 days away, put yourself at a 75% caloric intake of what your normal daily caloric intake would be. Then for thanksgiving you can reset your WEEKLY caloric intake and give the metabolic system a nice boost and also gain the benefits of a small fast.

Here is how you do it:

Tuesday: 25% caloric intake

Wednesday: 25: caloric intake

Thursday(Thanksgiving): FEAST

P.S. This doesn't have to be just for thanksgiving, this is one of the few different fasting cycles that could be incorporated into a daily lifestyle.

Cheers!!
