This Thanksgiving, Take Time to Unplug and Connect

As Thanksgiving week rolls around, it’s a reminder for us all to unplug from the hustle and spend time with the people who matter most. I’ll be enjoying some much-needed time with my daughters, reflecting on the gratitude I feel for the goodness that fills our lives. I hope you’ll be inspired to do the same—to pause, to savor, and to connect.

If you feel like you’re stuck in the relentless pace of hustle culture, I want you to know that you have the power to change it. It starts with a simple mindset shift: work can support your life, rather than drain it. It is possible, and I’ve seen it happen in my own life.

When I started Tap the Potential, I believed entrepreneurship would give me control over my time. But, like many, I found myself caught in the relentless demands of running a business. Then one night, while rocking my newborn, I read The E-Myth by Michael Gerber. That book sparked an epiphany: success isn’t about working harder; it’s about building systems and focusing on what truly matters.

This insight changed everything. I began to prioritize working smarter, not harder, creating a life where I could be fully present for my family without sacrificing my business. And today, I’m on a mission to help you do the same.

As you gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, take a moment to reflect on how you want your work to fit into your life. Remember, you don’t have to sacrifice what matters most to you for your work—you deserve both a thriving career and a fulfilling life.

If you’re ready to make this change, make the Work Supports Life™ Pledge. Let’s commit to creating space for what truly matters:

Here’s What You’ll Pledge:

✅ Set a time to stop work each day and fully unplug.

✅ Take weekends off—no work, fully unplug.

✅ Create meaningful experiences with loved ones during your unplugged time.

Let’s make this Thanksgiving the start of a new way forward—one that supports a life you love.
