THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN INSTALLING STEEL FRAMES

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN INSTALLING STEEL FRAMES

1. Consulting the CSDMA's storage and installation guide. Indeed, the CSDMA website has a “publication” section in which you will find many important documents. Among these publications is a storage and installation guide which will be extremely useful to you. Publications - Canadian Steel Door Manufacturers Association (csdma.org)

2. Remove the transport spreaders. The metal spreaders are used for the transport and handling of the frames and under no circumstances should they be used for the installation of the frames. It is important to remove them, which can be done with a chisel and hammer before installing the frames.

3. Check the flatness of the slab. A floor that is not level will have an impact on the correct opening of the door as well as on the clearance initially planned under the door. It is crucial to do this before installing the doors to avoid unpleasant surprises at the end of the project.

4. Leveling the steel frame. Steel frames must be secured with braces and wooden spreaders. You must then check everything using spirit levels before installing the anchors.
