Things Don't Change Unless Things Change

Everyone loves the status quo. Staying where you are takes less energy, causes less stress, and makes life seem easy. But if we never change we never change. We never grow. We never truly succeed or excel. We just ... stay. And staying can be bad.

The same applies to our work life as well. Bosses and managers are always looking for improvement and growth, always demanding more and comparing things to the past. It's a numbers game, and if you can't beat last year then they'll find someone who can. You're only as good as your last success. If you can't change then they'll "change" you.

Stop me if any of this rings true for you.

So what do we do when things have gone stagnant? How do we grow when we have already reached the peak? Simple. Find a new peak. There's always more hill to climb, more growth to make, more improvement to be had. You can never be happy with being where you are, that's not how you go through life.

So now is the perfect time to make a change. Maybe it's something big, like finding a whole new WMS or ERP system for your warehouse, or creating a whole new process to really shake things up. Maybe it's something small, like finding a new partner for labels, handhelds, or wireless networking gear. You'd be shocked at how complacent vendors can get when they already have your business. In addition to that, sometimes just getting a new set of eyes on your project can help clarify some things for you.

Long story short, now is the time to knock off that rust and consider making a change. I'd love to hear about any problems you're having, big or small, and see what kind of changes Strategic Mobility Group can help you implement to make your 2019 better than 2018.

Things don't change unless things change. So let's make some changes together.
