A new AI-powered search platform announced by Clarivate has the potential to yield efficiencies across the entire life sciences & healthcare value chain. The patent pending offering is derived from advanced generative AI and data science techniques. Today, 80 percent of premature deaths could be avoided if patients and healthcare professionals had the right information at the right time to make better decisions. The group selected Ex Libris, part of Clarivate, to enhance a system that will provide users with unified library workflows that incorporate AI and linked data solutions. The platform will make it easier for researchers, faculty and patrons to take full advantage of the libraries’ extensive collections.

Scientific sleuth has built global reputation for calling out fakery in academic research 

Maintaining belief in the truthfulness of what we see, read and hear has never been as difficult as it is today. In today’s scientific research, fakery can be highly sophisticated due to tech advances such as AI. In a podcast from Clarivate, David A. Sanders, associate professor at Purdue University in Indiana, argues that fraud is a serious academic issue that must be confronted head on, especially during this age of AI.

New data product provides researchers with aggregated, anonymized prescribed habits across brands and diseases  

Clarivate has announced a new data product that will allow for increased understanding of treatments prescribed and administered in Germany. Sourced from prescribing models from hospital EHR software, the data product is called “Clarivate Patient Data Intelligence (CPDI).” It will provide clarity on market trends, patient characteristics and specialty  prescribing habits across brands and diseases.
