A THOUGHT TO PONDER
I don't have much to say. Ask yourselves the following questions honestly. Don't give me an answer. It's not for me to know, it is for you to consider:
If your subordinates had a choice of whom to lead them, would they choose you? Would they look past any other leader in that organization and choose you?
If your answer is no, examine why.
Leadership is social influence. To lead properly, people must want to follow you willingly. If that is lacking, you would have to do more than you would if there were the willingness to be led by you.
You would have to micromanage, you would more often than not have to follow up and push people to do the job they have been hired to do. You may get results, but you would have to force results out of subordinates. You would find you are always upset, shouting, tired, pressured, stressed. Work would become more work than it ought to be.
If this is your situation as a leader, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!
