Three Months of Challenges and Achievements: The Transformative Journey of FORJA and PTS!

Over the past three months, I've embarked on an intense and rewarding journey at FORJA Game Studio . What began as a simple idea has evolved into a series of projects and accomplishments that have surpassed our expectations and strengthened my passion for what I do.

The Birth of FORJA

My journey started with the conception of FORJA, a Gaming initiative dedicated to innovation and development of Digital and Analog Games. Our mission was to create something meaningful that could positively impact our community and the gaming industry.

Developing Punch! Throw!! Score!!!: A Labor of Love

Following the establishment of FORJA, I dove into two challenging months of developing PTS!. What was supposed to be a well-deserved break turned into a marathon of hard work, with no single day of adequate rest or early nights. The countless sleepless nights and intense days of programming, designing, prototyping and testing were crucial in shaping PTS! into what it is today.

SBGames 2024

The dedicated efforts paid off when I submitted PTS! to SBGames 2024, one of the most prestigious game competitions in the country. The excitement was palpable when we discovered that PTS! was awarded SBGames Selected Game 2024. This achievement not only validates all the hard work but also motivates me to continue innovating and striving for excellence in game development.

Unfortunately, PTS! wasn't selected as one of the 6 finalists at SBGames 2024, but I'm incredibly proud of everything I've accomplished over the past 3 months. I'll continue working on PTS! to present a more complete version at REC'n'Play ! Stay tuned for more updates on PTS!.

Balancing Multiple Roles at FORJA

Amidst these projects, I continued the activities at FORJA, providing mentorship, consulting, and workshops to the other Guilds, and organizing events that foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among professionals. Planning strategies and organizing the structure of FORJA required dedication and long-term vision, but we believe these efforts are essential for our continuous growth.

Gratitude and Looking Forward

Despite the numerous responsibilities and challenges, our passion kept us steadfast and determined. Every obstacle overcome and every small victory achieved reinforces our confidence that we are on the right path and that there is much more to accomplish.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Erick Simões , my associate at FORJA. His dedication, vision, and partnership have been fundamental in transforming FORJA into the best initiative we've ever undertaken. Together, we are building something truly special and impactful.

And to all the Guilds and Members of FORJA, thank you for trusting and believing in us. You’re doing an amazing job, and together we will go to the stars!

What’s Next?

A lot has happened, a lot is happening, and I am confident that much more is yet to come. The journey continues, and we are ready to face new challenges and celebrate future achievements.
