Three New Marine Exchange Board Members

Welcome aboard! We have three new and amazing members on the Board of Directors of the Marine Exchange of the San Francisco Bay Region.


Christi Coats

Christie Coats is the Director of Operations at the Port of Redwood City, where she guides the strategic vision for the port's operations. In this role, she leads the port's cargo operations, oversees capital improvement projects, and manages FEMA and security grant programs. Before this, Ms. Coats was the General Manager of Maritime and Asset Management at the Port of New Orleans, overseeing the Real Estate, Cruise, and Operations departments. She also served as the Director of Operations and Real Estate, managing real estate assets and leases for maritime and industrial properties. Ms. Coats earned her MBA from Pepperdine University and is an alumna of the University of California, Riverside.


Dr. Dinesh Pinisetty

Dr. Pinisetty is the Dean of Academic Affairs at California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime). He also serves as a Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at Cal Maritime. From 2019 to 2022, he held the roles of Faculty Senate Chair and Department Chair of Engineering Technology. Before his tenure at Cal Maritime, he was a Research Associate and Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at New York University from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Pinisetty holds a Ph.D. (2011) and an M.S. (2005) in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India.


Kevin Tweed

Kevin Tweed owns Bay Marine Services, LLC. Mr. Tweed is a seasoned Dredge Project Manager and Hydrographer with over 20 years of experience in the marine construction and dredging industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the California Maritime Academy and is certified by the US Coast Guard as a Master of Uninspected Towing Vessels and Steam or Motor Vessels. Mr. Tweed's expertise includes managing complex dredging projects, hydrographic surveys, and data acquisition for the dredging community.
