Three Things I Learned from Hannah Storm

Three Things I Learned from Hannah Storm

This week on The Deal, I have the privilege of interviewing SportsCenter Anchor Hannah Storm . We learn how she landed her dream as a sports journalist, discuss her thoughts on influencer culture and talk about the challenges of rising to the top in a male-dominated industry. It’s a powerful discussion you won’t want to miss. To hear the full conversation and access the latest episodes, check out www.bloomberg.com/the-deal and watch on Bloomberg Originals.

Let Your Work Speak for Itself

Hannah shares how resilience, belief and hard work helped her thrive in a male-dominated space. She explains how the power of mindset pushed her to toughen up and deliver the most high-quality results at every opportunity. In her own words, she explains that “there is zero substitute for hard work.” Her approach and determination underscore the remarkable milestones she's achieved throughout her career.

Pursue Your Passions

Whether it’s a charitable cause or a hobby outside of your main gig, Hannah believes in finding a way to bring your passions to life. She shares her motivation for establishing the Hannah Storm Foundation and her production company, Brainstormin’ Productions. Her desire to carve out something impactful and uniquely her own is incredibly inspirational.

Be Open-Minded

As simple as it sounds, Hannah focuses on trying to always stay open-minded. She points out that the life you envision for yourself may not come as expected. In these moments, Hannah emphasizes approaching unforeseen circumstances and pivots with curiosity and a positive attitude.

Knowing Hannah since the beginning of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to watch her incredible career up close. She continues to pave the way for future generations, both men and women alike, and having her on this week's episode of The Deal was an absolute pleasure.
