It is Time to Celebrate the World's Silence in the Face of Hamas Evil
We should not be surprised by the world’s silence in light of Hamas atrocities. Nor should we expect or rely upon the world’s sympathy. Such expectations or “reliance” would provide world Jewry with a false sense of security that we have “friends” in progressive society.
The silence of the United Nations in the face of the rape of Jewish women by Hamas on October 7 gives the lie to the hope that our enlightened friends are “on our side.” They are not. And that is a good thing.
The proactive UN bias showed itself again in November 2024 when the UN’s Global Peace Flag exhibit contained no explicit call for the hostages to be released. Nor do any messages condemn Hamas, or Hezbollah.
Why?
Because now we know, with stark certainty, that we have no one to rely on except ourselves, and God.
The precedent for this phenomenon is the silence of the Vatican during the Holocaust as a consequence of the Jews' supposed collective guilt for the death of Jesus. The Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), rejected the notion of collective guilt of Jews for the death of Jesus. This was a significant shift from previous teachings that had contributed to antisemitism and persecution. It also condemned anti-Semitism, hatred or discrimination against Jews. It called for mutual respect and understanding between Christians and Jews.
But note the date of the Second Vatican Council: 1962-1965. It came too late to save the Six Million murdered Jews of the Holocaust from 1939-1945.
And what about the silence of the United States during the Holocaust? The United States' suggestion that it did not bomb the railroad tracks leading to Auschwitz because FDR did not want to deviate from the goal of defeating the Nazis, is a boldfaced lie. The Allied forces flew over the tracks and had ample intelligence and weapons to bomb the tracks on their way to defeating the Nazis. Anti-Semitism in America influenced public and governmental responses.
And so, the Jews of the Holocaust had no one to rely on except themselves and God. They became partisans in the forests, joined the Warsaw Ghetto uprising and resisted by surviving when, and where they could.

Today, the global omission of silence in the face of Hamas’ immorality, has morphed into acts of commission where so-called enlightened friends of Israel, namely the USA, UK, Germany and Canada are withholding of arms to Israel under the brazen lie of genocide of Gazans.
The 30,000 Jews who have made Aliyah since OCTOBER 7 have got the message: Rely only on our people.
Secular Jews who have stepped up their Jewish religious observance since OCTOBER 7 have got the message: Rely only on your heritage.
Jews who have awakened their Jewish spark have got the message: Rely only on God.
As the Talmud in Sotah 49b states: With the approach of Mashiach, insolence will increase and prices will rise sharply. The government will turn to heresy…the Galilee will be destroyed and those who live on the frontier will wander from place to place seeking charity but no one will take pity on them. There is no one upon whom we can rely except for our Father in Heaven.
