Time for a Reset

Time for a Reset

As we prepare to dive into a brand-new year, I want to share something close to my heart about goal-setting and alignment.

In the past, I’ve gone down the “logical” path—chasing what should come next in business. But even when I achieved those milestones, something always felt…off. The success didn’t feel as fulfilling as I thought it would, and honestly, I ended up more burned out than excited.

Now, I do things differently.

Instead of focusing solely on external achievements, I ask myself:

🧐 How do I want to feel in my business and life?

🧐 What does my ideal day, week, and year actually look like?

🧐 Am I building something aligned with my energy, my purpose, and my genius?

This doesn’t mean I don’t set big, ambitious goals. It’s quite the opposite. When I focus on what feels aligned, growth becomes so much easier. Being in your zone of genius means you’re not grinding against the grain—it’s a flow that energizes and inspires you.

End of Year Alignment Exercise

One of my favourite exercises comes from Tim Ferris. It’s so simple yet incredibly effective.

1️⃣ Take a look at your calendar and photo albums from the past year. Reflect on what felt really good and what didn’t.

2️⃣ Make two lists:

  • A “TO-DO” list of people, places, and activities that truly lit you up.
  • A “NOT-TO-DO” list of the ones that drained you.

3️⃣ Commit to designing your life and business around the things and people that bring you energy and excitement.

Try it—it’s honestly transformative. 💡

Weekly Top 3:

✨TOOL: BigVu

I’ve been using BigVu to record my latest VSL, and it’s a game-changer! You can record while reading your script on-screen, so your eyes stay focused and engaging. Highly recommend for anyone creating video content.

✨QUOTE: "We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience." — John Dewey

✨HACK: The Pomodoro Technique

Short bursts of focused work followed by breaks are my secret to staying energized. It’s helped me crush my goals without burnout.

Wishing you an inspired and aligned start to the new year.

PS: If you’re ready to design a business that feels aligned and gets results, hit reply with “I’M READY” and I’ll send you over the aforementioned video explaining exactly how to do so.
