Times of change - time for change

Times of change - time for change

"Change is the only constant in life." And the ability to adapt to constant change is essential these days. Sometimes it's good to ask yourself: Where do I stand? Am I still doing the right thing? Is change needed?

After setting up the Marketing department of Takii Europe during last 5 years, it is now time for me to step aside. The management of the Marketing department will be taken over by my esteemed colleague Friederike Boon. I will continue as manager of the 'newly born' Product Strategy department. This will allow me to fully focus on our EMEA crop strategies. By leading and shaping the product development process - together with a team of Portfolio Managers, Product Managers and a Business Analyst. This again brings me closer to the market - something I am very much looking forward to.

For me personally, it has been an eventful year, with ups and downs. A transformative period, diving deep into myself and finding out what really matters. To get to know the insatiable needs of the ego and put it aside. To choose what is right for me, for vitality and for connection.

In this process I gratefully received the necessary help, support and trust. From my dear partner Marion and our beloved children. From my 'challenging' coaches Annemarie and Frederike, my energetic buddy Guido, other friends and family. My colleagues Ton and Erik, HR and the Marketing Team of Takii Europe. Thank you all for your patience and encouragement!

But first, I am going to create some headspace, by hiking the Camino Primitivo in Spain over the next few weeks. To start fresh in my new position by mid-May.

Congratulations on your new position, Harm. What a nice article. It's great to have valuable people, friends, family accompanying you on this journey of daily self-improvement and learning. As you mentioned, hiking in the mountains is a beautiful thought before starting a new position. Near Antalya, we have the ancient Lycian Way, which is a total of 600 km long. For hiking enthusiasts, I think at least the short sections of it are worth exploring. I recommend adding it to your list of places to hike in the future.
