Tips to Post Successfully on LinkedIn

  • Turn your account into creator mode to get more views/followers
  • Start your intro sentence with a great hook, getting into the 'meat' of the post
  • Come across as kind, grateful, humble, knowledgeable, fun, and experienced
  • Create space between short paragraphs 
  • Emojis are always great
  • Timing: Post in the morning, when most people check LI, and when your post has a chance to be visible for the longest
  • Include relevant hashtags that people are likely to be subscribed to
  • Tag Celigo + people (if relevant) making posts visible to folks in their network
  • Post about things you know about, or care about
  •  People come to LI to connect & learn; posts should be relevant to that
  • Consistency is key even if it feels weird at first
  • Posting more = you Pavlov others into liking you & your content
  • It is not a one-way street. As much as posting feels tough, make sure to like/comment/ engage with other people's posts daily
  • They will feel inclined to do so for you
  • I have a small community of folks that like 99% of what I post, and I do the same for them. Really helps take advantage of the algorithm.
  • Images, GIFs, and memes do well on LinkedIn

  • Show your personality, don't be afraid to be bold, and have some fun
  • Engage with people in unique ways: posts, questions, polls, video content etc
  • Add people at your company and in similar roles all day every day
  • You can have up to 30k connections on LI, and each one listed is also a follower
