Today is the Day

Today is the Day

We know that each day holds some promise, some excitement, and some mystery. What hasn't happened yet holds wonder.

Before you get out of bed, you take solace that you haven't done anything to screw it up...yet.

It's still pristine; untainted.

But what will happen the moment you breathe some life into your day? Will it turn out the way you expected?

There's a chance greater than zero that something--or someone--will also influence your day to some degree. Sometimes for the better; sometimes not so much.

Once you let go of your sense of control, you can relax. Fear not. There are forces at work whether or not you care to admit it.

Each day holds promise. It's a brand new chapter. A fresh page.

You can influence it just as easily as the next guy. However, it takes awareness and action.

It's tempting to get caught up in the guilt of what could have been [past] and the fear of what lies ahead [future].

Today is the here and now, the present. Taking action is the only way to advance. And action can only be taken in the present.

  • Connect with people
  • Speak from your heart
  • Help them advance

Do these things on a daily basis and wondrous things will happen. Maybe not at first. But day by day, the snowball gathers strength.

Treat each day like the present--the gift--that it is. Be aware that the gift is for you as you bless others with your presence (pun intended).

'Tis the season. Cheer UP!
