Today's Pain Is Tomorrow's Gain!

Have you invested for a better tomorrow ?

We love to grow in our career. We definitely want to master the art of being a great musician, or we want to be good at a particular skill, but the challenge often is investing early enough and then persisting with what we want to achieve.

We just need one simple action from within - To start !!

It’s never too late to start, and once we do, we would soon feel that we could have perhaps started earlier and reaped benefits faster. Here are some areas that require us to focus early.

1. Fitness Journey:

All of us want to be fit, but many of us do not want to take the first step. we look for an appropriate time and appropriate place with appropriate company. Fitness takes time and definitely every day that we exercise, there would be one muscle or the other that will tempt us to stop, but the key is to pursue and to persist with patience and perseverance until we find a rhythm and it becomes a part of life.

2. Academic Pursuit:

The moment we enroll ourselves in any course or even for an honours degree, it may look daunting that it would take two or four years to complete. A great way to motivate ourselves is to remind us that we will be more knowledgeable and perhaps more employable. So, focusing on the end result added with great execution every day, will get us to where we want to be.

3. Career Advancement:

It’s a well-known fact that hard work definitely pays off in one’s career. If one is willing to do more by going the extra mile, by taking on stretch assignments, exploring uncharted territory and trying to reach beyond geographical boundaries, will definitely payoff in the long run. Not just being satisfied with being in a comfort zone but trying to push with a growth mindset can always help. All this comes with its own challenges in the beginning, but the fruits are there to be harmed from time to time.

4. Financial Investment:

Irrespective whether one would belong to a developing economy or a developed economy, investments when made prudently at early stages of one career can be very rewarding as life matures. The challenges how to stay away from temptation of materialistic buying while one is in their early career. The temptation of white goods, consumer goods or even capital assets can be a great temptation while it may be easy to go through the digital or the plastic money route. One of the greatest financial wizards of all time -Warren Buffet shared that though he started investing at an early age as a young teen, he felt he was late. So going past temptation of unnecessary spends can help in the long run.

5. Emotional Growth:

Relationships don’t happen overnight. It takes time and effort to build lasting relationships, and in many cases, it may take months or even years to build trusted relationships. In this instant gratification world, it would be rather difficult to spend quality and uninterrupted time, trying to build bridges across networks. If one is open to meeting people from diverse backgrounds; it will be a great way to start. This approach will make people very nimble and easy to thrive in any culture or country. But it takes effort to conscientiously build and relate to new and diverse teams.

Over the years I have witnessed great results when I have focused on these areas early, but I personally must admit that my success has been a combination of what I did but more importantly what God did for me right through and I am grateful for life!
