Top 9 Ecommerce Marketing Hacks

Top 9 Ecommerce Marketing Hacks

-1- Research the Customer

Priority even before you begin is to know your customers, their channels and what they are seeking. Then implement a plan to deliver value to them both in content, video and products they will buy.

-2- Create a Content Calendar & Strategy

Do this well before you launch your website. List all methods you will use, and allocate priority to each one and distribute the activities on a timeline and list who will be responsible.

-3- Emphasize "Hot" Channels

If Instagram and Wanelo is trending for the industry of my products, then I will focus my best attention there. Follow where engagement is high, where ROI is high and where you can get the most leads and generate the most sales for the least effort.

-4- Automated Contextual Conversation

Utilize chat bots or marketing automation for SMS and Email for instance, where email receipts, and abandoned cart recovery emails create opportunities for dialogue. Fight for each abandoned cart and new customer like you would treat a high-value loyal customer. Incentive, personalize and reward.

-5- Find New Ways to Do the Obvious

Focus on new technologies that can impact these thee key metrics of your Ecommerce store. AOV (average order size), increase purchase frequency and increase number of customers. Have a relentless focus on these three KPIs of your business. Growth hack the emotional journey of the consumer to boost brand engagement.

-6- Invest in Great Photography

Never skimp on great photography, don't sacrifice your brand impression for anything. For Ecommerce brands without a physical outlet, this is so key. This means also investing in the right models for your products. The visual value you can bring to a customer IS the customer experience touch point that can be a deal-breaker on how memorable your brand is.

-7- Personalize SMS and Email Campaigns

Take precious care with the copy of your Email and SMS campaigns and allow consumers to sign-up to both or either and have a high level personalization of customer segments with clever and personalized regular campaigns that feel authentic and are highly readable.

-8- Scale your Prices with your Popularity

To drive profit margins and ROI once your brand has traction, scale prices accordingly. Take risks, A/B test on new products.

-9- Leverage Interactive Content

Allow for product reviews, product comments, do User Generated Campaigns, hold contests, try video content and emphasize interactive content that your consumers can relate to. Create a sense of vivid personalization strategy around everything you do, and automate it so it can scale.
