Top foreign languages

Every year, we prepare statistics of the languages that are mostly taught at Slůně, at all our 4 branches. English is still clearly in the first place. Interest in German has dropped, and the other three languages are basically unchanged: Czech for foreigners, Russian and Spanish.

School year 2018/2019:

1.   English 73 %, 2.   German 17 %, 3.   Czech for foreigners 3 %, 4.   Spanish 3 %, 5.   Russian 2 %.

Other languages according to interest were: Polish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Slovak for foreigners, Vietnamese, Ukrainian. 

For comparison, here are the statistics from the previous school years.

School year 2017/18:

1.   English 70 %, 2.   German 19 %, 3.   Czech for foreigners 3 %, 4.   Russian 2 %, 5.   Spanish 2 %.

Other languages according to interest were: French, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Slovak for foreigners and Ukrainian. 

School year 2016/17:

1.   English 73 %, 2.   German 14 %, 3.   Czech for foreigners 3 %, 4.   Russian 3 %, 5.   Spanish 2 %.

Other languages according to interest were: French, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, Slovenian, Norwegian, Japanese, Slovak for foreigners, Filipino and Tamil. 


School year 2015/2016:

1.   English 67%, 2.   German 18%, 3.   Czech for foreigners 4%, 4.   Spanish 3%, 5.   Russian 3%.

Other languages according to interest were: French, Polish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, Slovak, Tamil, Norwegian, Turkish, Japanese and Slovenian.

School year 2014/2015:

1.   English 68%, 2.   German 18%, 3.   Czech for foreigners 4%, 4.   Spanish 2.5%, 5.   Russian 2%.

Other languages according to interest were: French, Polish, Dutch, Portuguese, Chinese, Italian, Slovenian, Hungarian and Turkish.
