Top Talent Strategy

Organisations place a high premium on talent.

Therefore, having a well defined talent management strategy can not only improve the ability of an organisation to attract great people but also improves their ability to retain this talent as well as further talent development and leadership development.

According to HRD, "The best talent management strategy is the marriage of the organisation’s goals and objectives and the personal developmental aspirations of its present and future talent."

A well-rounded talent management strategy includes:

- Talent attraction and recruitment - Organisations often underestimate the cost of recruiting the wrong talent.

- Building and deploying talent - This is focused around personal development of people and deploying talent at the right time (projects, strategic initiatives etc).

- Talent retention - studies show that losing talent can be incredibly costly to an organisation and the cost only increases as roles become more senior.

Making talent a key strategic pillar will mean it is at the forefront of regular conversations at Board and Executive level resulting in better succession planning and a stronger focus on attracting the right talent into the organisation.
